"I never really used [my superpower] to harm people, except for all those girls I made the guys break up with cause I wanted to date them. Kinda freaky, actually."
—Psycwave on her NSA file.

Psycwave was a superhero and founding member of the Phantasmics.

Psycwave’s voice.

Psycwave discovered her psychic abilities in high school, and utilized these newfound powers for personal gain—namely, to manipulate the star quarterback into asking her to homecoming and break up with his girlfriend.

Psycwave was a founding member of the Phantasmics, and fought alongside Everseer, Macroburst and Plasmabolt and, at one point, Gazerbeam

Her secret identity was that of a psychologist who worked with Everseer, though she became frustrated with the work and quit due to her annoyance at clients failing to solve their own problems.

She was one of the Supers targeted by Syndrome for Operation Kronos. She was supposedly killed by the Omnidroid v.X1 but Syndrome never actually found the body similar to Mr. Incredible and so it is possible she survived and went into hiding. The Operation Kronos database assigned her a threat rating of 1.6, the lowest rating of the Supers displayed despite her having powers which are significantly more powerful than what the rating suggests.

Personality[]

She herself was known for her occasional paranoid tendencies as well as acting as a psychologist under her secret identity, becoming frustrated by her clients' inability to solve their own problems. Psycwave also authored a book titled, "Shut Up! Quieting Your Inner Voice" alongside her fellow psychologist Everseer. It is implied that she frequently used her powers for selfish gain, primarily by manipulating men into breaking up with their girlfriends so she could date them.

Powers and Abilities[]

"I’m Psycwave, and I’ll really get inside your head."
—Psycwave, in LEGO The Incredibles.
  • Mental Force Wave Generation: Psycwave could transmit mental waves to control other people.
  • Temporary Mental Paralysis: Psycwave could prevent another person from thinking for up to 30 seconds.
  • Body Possession: Psycwave was able to control another person's actions and body, though this left her own body defenseless until she returned to it.
  • Psychic Foresight: According to the Operation Kronos database, Psycwave possessed the ability to predict the thoughts and actions of other people.
  • Thought Control: According to the Operation Kronos database, Psycwave could influence others' thinking to get them to say or do anything she wished.
  • Telekinesis: According to the Operation Kronos database, Psycwave could move objects with her mind. In LEGO The Incredibles, she is able to lift heavy boulders.

Weaknesses[]

  • Machines: With the exception of her telekinetic abilities, Psycwave was more or less defenseless against androids and all other mechanical devices that lacked a mind for her to control or to predict the outcomes of the decisions that it made.
  • Unconsciousness: Psycwave could easily be defeated in a state of unconsciousness. A notable downside to her ability of possession is that her original body was left sound asleep until she returned to it.
