Magnomizer Guardian

The Magnomizer Guardian is one of two secondary antagonists and the first boss of the video game The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer. She is one of the Underminer's sub-bosses and is in charge of defending the Magnomizer from Mr. Incredible and Frozone.

In the Game

When Mr. Incredible and Frozone arrive at the Magnomizer, the Guardian greets them with faux pleasantry and details the effects the Magnomizer will have on the planet's gravitational pulls and the disastrous aftermath. When they declare they will shut it down, she initially dismisses their efforts as fruitless before arming herself with a large cannon appendage to engage them.

Her arsenal includes sludge missiles and large molten projectiles, but she will also summon robot minions to aid her. Remaining at a distance, she leaves Frozone's ice power greatly disadvantaged, but Mr. Incredible manages to damage her with throwable objects. She is eventually defeated, but her ultimate fate is left unknown, since the last she is seen is spinning out of control with both her robotic arms destroyed.

Personality

The Magnomizer Guardian, much like her counterpart the Crustodian, has a complex personality. She takes her role as the Magnomizer's defender seriously, but also expresses a sinister sense of humor and sarcasm in her efforts. She greatly likens herself to a tour guide and will make statements regarding her encounter with the superheroes as being a "tour".

Dialogue

• “Welcome to the Magnomizer, the ultimate doomsday machine. It will be the only thing left standing in a few moments; calculating ever magnetic energy force on the earth and will now refocus all those forces to reverse the poles and flip the whole planet. It will destroy everything top side, the skies will be filled with dirt and the sun will become a distant memory. It will turn your world upside down.”
• “To continue your tour to the next floor, or if you’d like to leave this floor alive, how about some science batches?”
• “Shut this down? The power to this impressive machine is secure underground in an underwater cave. For tours of the underwater power and pressure station, you’d need to survive me and then make an appointment with the power pressure guardian Doug. The Magnomizer is ready to go full power, and you can't do anything to stop it. Shutting it off is no longer an option.”
• “Destroy the Magnomizer itself? I didn’t think of that. Well, maybe I can convince you to run for your lives instead!”
• “That is not possible. Please save all comments until after you are destroyed. To witness the results of the Magnomizer's power, you will need to escape this onslaught.”
• “They are magnetic reciprocating cores. Do not touch them, or your hands will be removed.”
• “I believe the planet’s beginning to wobble. Your tour is almost over.”
• “The Magnomizer is almost ready to rotate the entire globe. Small shifts have already begun.”
• “It really is too bad you’ll miss the Underminer’s grand finale.”
