- "My father was so proud that I was even remotely connected to you guys. He used to call you the last line of defense. He was your top supporter. He was heartbroken when you were all forced to go underground."
- —Winston about his father's love for Supers.
Mr. Deavor is a minor character in Incredibles 2, only appearing in a flashback. He was the husband of Mrs. Deavor, and father of Winston Deavor and Evelyn Deavor.
Incredibles 2[]
Mr. Deavor was a proud admirer of Supers, and can be seen looking up at a statue of Dynaguy in Avery Park, for which he raised money so that it could be built. Mr. Deavor was present with Mrs. Deavor, Gazerbeam and Fironic when he showed off his phones that have a direct line to the two Supers. Not long after the outlawing of Supers, Mr. and Mrs. Deavor's home was invaded by robbers. Instead of going to the safe room with his wife, Mr. Deavor went to call Fironic, but the Super did not pick up since he was not active anymore. The robbers found Mr. Deavor, and he was shot dead. Mrs. Deavor would die of heartbreak soon after. This would drive Winston to launch a campaign to legalize Supers, believing that them being banned was the only reason. However, Evelyn saw this as an example of an over-dependence on Supers, and believed that people should be able to take care of themselves rather than rely on someone much stronger. A large portrait of Mr. Deavor hangs in the DevTech building.
Personality[]
Nothing much is known about his personality, as he was only seen in a flashback in the sequel. However, Mr. Deavor was known as an altruistic man, which was evident in his support for Supers and their rights. He deeply loves his wife, with her death due to heartbreak being a clear indicator of their close relationship.
