"She died a few months later. Heartbreak."
—Evelyn about her mother's death.

Mrs. Deavor is minor character in Incredibles 2, only appearing in a flashback. She was the wife of Mr. Deavor, and mother of Winston Deavor and Evelyn Deavor.

Incredibles 2[]

Mrs. Deavor was present with Mr. Deavor, Gazerbeam and Fironic when her husband showed off his phones that have a direct line to the two Supers. Not long after the outlawing of Supers, Mr. and Mrs. Deavor's home was invaded by robbers. Instead of going to the safe room with his wife, Mr. Deavor went to call Fironic, but the Super did not pick up since he was not active anymore. The robbers found Mr. Deavor, and he was shot dead. Mrs. Deavor would die of heartbreak soon after. This would drive Winston to launch a campaign to legalize Supers, believing that them being banned was the only reason. However, Evelyn saw this as an example of an over-dependence on Supers, and believed that people should be able to take care of themselves rather than rely on someone much stronger.

Personality[]

Nothing much is known about her personality, as she was only seen in a flashback in the sequel. However, she loved his husband so much that her despair drove her to death. However, according to her daughter Evelyn, when robbers broke into the Deavors' home, Mrs Deavor had pleaded with her husband to use their safe room, but been overruled, with the patriarch of their family insisting on attempting to contact the various superheroes that he had been in contact with. This implies that, unlike her husband, Mrs. Deavor was prepared to take her safety into her own hands, rather than put total faith in someone else, demonstrating a practical side. This same practicality was seemingly passed down to her daughter, who argued with her brother Winston about his belief that their father would not have died, had superheroes remained legal, protesting that Mr. Deavor should have followed their mother's suggestion. Despite this, however, Evelyn nonetheless decried her mother, believing both her parents had been fools for putting their lives in anybody else's hands, which further inflamed her belief that people were kept weak by their reliance on Supers.
