The Omnidroid rocket was a rocket created by Syndrome to deploy the Omnidroid v.10 towards Metroville.
Design[]
The rocket used for the Omnidroid v.10 was a large, cylindrical rocket (similiar in size to NASA's Saturn-V) that had six tanks with engines on each of them, and a larger tank with a larger engine, that was launched from a volcanic crater on Nomanisan Island, where Syndrome had his secret base. The rocket carried the Omnidroid v.10 to Metroville, where it was supposed to wreak havoc until Syndrome arrived to stop it and claim the glory. The Omnidroid rocket depended on the design and specifications of this rocket. However, some possible advantages and disadvantages are:
- Advantages: The rocket used for the Omnidroid v.10 seemed to have a powerful thrust and a high speed, as it reached Metroville in a short time. It also had a large payload capacity, as it could fit the Omnidroid v.10 inside the glider. It might also have some advanced technology from Syndrome’s inventions, such as remote control or self-destruct mechanisms.
- Disadvantages: The rocket used for the Omnidroid v.10 was not designed for human passengers or scientific purposes, so it might not have safety features or instruments that are necessary for those missions. It also might not be reusable or environmentally friendly, as it may possibly contain toxic propellants (like hydrazine and nitrogen tetroxide, or RP-1/LOX) and was intended to be an expendable booster for the Omnidroid robot. It might also attract unwanted attention from the authorities or the public, as it was associated with a criminal act.
Role in the film[]
The first rocket was used to deploy the Omnidroid v.10 towards Metroville. A second rocket was later used by the Incredibles to reach back the mainland and Metroville.
